Sports with Coleman – Wednesday March 10

Today on Sports with Coleman, we continued our weeklong broadcast from Sarasota where the Orioles are conducting their spring training. We were joined on the show today by former major league catcher and manager Jeff Torborg. We talked with Jeff, who is a Sarasota resident, about the Orioles change in spring training venue and his thoughts on the team from what he has seen. We also talked with Jeff about his major league playing career, which includes catching Sandy Koufax’s perfect game in 1965 and Nolan Ryan’s first no-hitter in 1973. Jeff also talked about his time managing in the majors. Great to catch up with Jeff, see what he had to say on Sports with Coleman. Jeff Torborg on Sports with Coleman

We also caught up with Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports and the MLB Network. We asked Ken about his spring training travels thus far. We also talked about the Orioles move to Sarasota for Spring Training and the pressure that Dave Trembley might find himself under to succeed this year with the birds. We talked a few other topics around baseball with Ken, including Nomar Garciaparra’s retirement (with a one-day contract with the Red Sox) and Milton Bradley commenting that the city of Chicago is racist. Listen to what Ken had to say on the show today. Ken Rosenthal on Sports with Coleman
