Sports with Coleman – Wednesday February 24
As we do each Wednesday, we wanted to share our weekly webcast with Kevin Cowherd for BaltimoreSun.com. This week, we talked about Tiger Woods’ apology and what Donte Stallworth might have to say when he talks to the media.
Today on Sports with Coleman, we welcomed NBC hockey analyst for the 2010 Winter Olympics Joe Micheletti to the show. Joe talked with Jerry and guest Michael Freedman about the olympics thus far as well as the performance by the United States Olympic team. Also, with the games in Vancouver, we had to talk with Joe about the Canadian team and the struggles this year. It was great to catch up with Joe, check out what he had to say today on Sports with Coleman. Joe Micheletti on Sports with Coleman
We also talked with the voice of Johnny Holliday, the Hall of Fame broadcaster and voice of the Maryland Terrapins. We talked with Johnny about the Terps’ buzzer beating victory over Georgia Tech this past weekend and looked ahead to tonight’s game against Clemson. We also talked with Johnny about the coaching job Gary Williams has done so far and his thoughts on where Greivis Vasquez might rank with the all-time Terps. Johnny always has great stuff and you’ll enjoy what he had to say on the show today. Johnny Holliday on Sports with Coleman
Also joining us on the show today was Johns Hopkins men’s lacrosse head coach Dave Pietramala. We talked with the coach about the beginning of the season so far for the Blue Jays (which finds the team 2-0), the way the team is looking so far and the participation in the upcoming Konica Minolta face-off classic. And of course we asked the coach about his friendship with New England Patriots’ head coach Bill Belichick. It’s not often that we discuss lacrosse on Sports with Coleman, but Coach Pietramala is among the best to talk about the game. Listen to what he had to say today.
