Sports with Coleman – Monday June 22

A typical busy day on Sports with Coleman today. We kicked things off by welcoming Ryan Harrington, Senior Writer for Golf World, to the show to talk about the U.S. Open. The Open wrapped today with Lucas Glover holding off a late push by Phil Mickelson to win the event at Bethpage Black. Check out what Ryan had to say, always a great conversation when he joins the show. Ryan Harrington on Sports with Coleman

We also welcomed Howard Bryant of the four letter network to the show today. Howard spoke with us about the breaking news that Donald Fehr will be stepping down as the head of Major League Baseball’s players’ association. We also talked to Howard about the recent news that Sammy Sosa had tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs in 2003. Take a listen to our conversation with Howard, great stuff. We continued the talk with David Steele, who joined us in studio from 4-6 pm. Together, we spoke about the Donald Fehr announcement with former Oriole Brady Anderson. Brady played his career while Fehr was the head of the MLBPA and had some interesting things to say (along with some criticisms of my list of the five best basketball players in NBA history). Check it out. Brady Anderson on Sports with Coleman

Also joining us on the show was Ryan Blake, the Assistant Director of NBA Scouting for Marty Blake and Associates. Ryan is the son of Marty Blake, the Director of Scouting Services for the NBA. Ryan talked about the NBA Draft, which will take place this Thursday, and gave us a preview of some of the players that might go in the first round as well as some players that may be hurt by injury. Listen to what Ryan had to say. Ryan Blake on Sports with Coleman
