Sports with Coleman – Friday May 22

A big show on Sports with Coleman today. Our friend Terry Ford joined us in studio, as he does each Friday (also a cheap plug for his website: http://baltimoresportsonline.com/). Right off the bat we were joined by the newest assistant coach of the Washington Wizards, Sam Cassell. Sam joined us in his only radio interview and talked about his time in the NBA and his future with the Washington Wizards. Take a listen, great stuff from the Baltimore native! We also talked with Liz Farmer of the Maryland Daily Record who joins us every Friday to talk about the business of sports. We talked about a variety of topics with Liz, including the latest in the world of horse racing, Victor Macfarlane selling his interest in DC United, the problem with attendance in baseball and the agreement between the NFL Network and Comcast. Check out what Liz had to say. Liz Farmer on Sports with Coleman

We were joined by Ryan O’Halloran, our Fox NFL Insider and Handicapper, as we are every Friday to talk about the latest issues in the NFL. Ryan joined us in comparing the wrap sheets of brothers Michael and Marcus Vick. We also discussed the recent news about Ryan Leaf’s drug indictment. Here’s what Ryan had to say on the show today. Last but not least, we were joined by Jon Saraceno of USA Today to talk about the NBA Playoffs. We talked about Carmelo Anthony rebuilding his image, the Conference Finals, Kobe Bryant and the Lakers and if the recession is really hurting the NBA’s millionaire players. Check out what Saraceno had to say, no one knows the NBA better! Jon Saraceno on Sports with Coleman

Also, check out this photo from yesterday when Tony Massenburg stopped by the studio.

We’re off for Memorial Day, but we’ll be back Tuesday with a huge show. Mike Preston and Gary Lambrecht will join me live in studio to discuss the Lacrosse Final Four from Beantown. We’ll also be joined by our NFL Insider Jason La Canfora from the Washington Post. Enjoy the weekend!
