THE BALTIMORE RAVENS ADVANCE TO THE NFL PLAYOFFS
The Baltimore Ravens wrapped up the regular season yesterday as they beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 27-7. The Ravens finished the season 11-5 and grabbed the sixth and final seed in the AFC. Yes, that’s right. After last season’s 5-11 record, the Ravens are headed to the playoffs. They will travel to Miami to face the AFC East Champion Dolphins next Sunday. I spoke to the Ravens rookie quarterback Joe Flacco after the game ended. Take a listen:
Flacco finished the day with 297 yards through the air, with 128 to Mark Clayton. Speaking of the receiver, he joined us on Sports with Coleman today. Check it out:

On the defensive side of the ball, Ed Reed had two interceptions – his fourth multi-pick game of the season (Jags, Dallas, Philadelphia, and Washington). He finished the season leading the AFC in interceptions with nine on the season. Ray Lewis also finished the game with two fumble recoveries. Speaking of the Ravens defense, the defensive leader himself Rex Ryan joined the show today. Among other things, Rex admitted to speaking to Ed Reed about his ball handling after interceptions. It was quite interesting:

Now begins the second season.
