Broncos Fire Shanahan

BREAKING NEWS: BRONCOS FIRE SHANAHAN

The Denver Broncos have fired one of the longest tenured coaches in the NFL. Mike Shanahan, who led the Broncos to back-to-back Super Bowl Championships after the 1997 and 1998 seasons, was fired after the Broncos collapsed in the AFC West after they held a three-game lead over the San Diego Chargers. The Chargers beat the Broncos Sunday 52-21 to clinch the AFC West title and qualify for the playoffs. Shanahan has coached the team since 1995.

We did break the news to PTI co-host and Monday Night Football commentator Tony Kornheiser (who also talked NFL playoffs with Jason La Canfora and myself). Check it out:

We also welcomed a man who will be watching the playoffs from home as Washington Redskins Cornerback Shawn Springs joined us today.

See you all next year!
