Ravens flying towards January run

The Ravens, who were coming off of their BYE, played their best game of the season, and the Atlanta game aside ( b/c of the unfairness of the timing) they seem to be playing their best football of the season and perhaps peaking at the right time. Joe Flacco has been tremendous since week three (11 tds), the defense has improved with the instant addition of Ed Reed, and Sam Koch and company continue to play well on special teams. The secondary will continue to face stiffer tests than Chad Henne, but the pass rush is improving and will remain an emphasis of coach Harbaugh. Ray Rice and Willis McGahee are getting stronger and so are the Ravens playoff chances heading to Atlanta on short rest.

Derrick Mason, who had a touchdown in the game, had every right to blast Miami’s Channing Crowder and I just hope his claim that Leron McClain spit on him is false. Nonetheless, the Fish got squished and now onto Atlanta.
