The Baltimore Ravens moved quickly to address their vacant defensive coordinator position, naming linebackers coach Dean Pees as the team’s new defensive leader. Pees has previous experience in the role; he served as the defensive coordinator for the New England Patriots from 2006-2009. Former Ravens defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano left the team to become the Head Coach of the Indianapolis Colts. John Harbaugh addressed the promotion of Pees:
